Natural Building Workshop with Sage Stoneman, October 10-12, 2025
Come get muddy with us at Jubilee!
We’re throwing open the gates for a hands-on natural building workshop with Sage Stoneman — an earth-builder, dreamer, and educator who believes housing should be a human right, not a commodity. Together, we’ll dive into the ancient (and revolutionary) art of earthen construction — learning how to shape the ground beneath our feet into beautiful, functional, low-cost spaces for living, gathering, and dreaming.
This isn’t your average workshop — this is about community-powered survival, and reclaiming our relationship with the Earth. Come prepared to move, dig, stomp, and create — and leave with new skills (and maybe some mud still on your feet) to help build a sustainable future.
The workshop will run Friday afternoon - Sunday early afternoon. You may camp on the land or commute to the workshop. Lunch and dinner will be served each day.
Sliding scale tuition below.
Bring your curiosity, your work gloves, and your spirit. Let’s build something real, together.
Sliding Scale Pricing for the Natural Building Workshop
We’re committed to making this workshop accessible while honoring the value of Sage Stoneman’s time and skill — and the materials we’ll use to build!
Choose the tier that feels right for your situation:
Option 1: Sponsored Rate – $295
For folks who need a hand.
You qualify for or rely on programs like Medicaid, SNAP, WIC, or housing assistance.
You didn’t owe taxes this year (maybe you even got the Earned Income Tax Credit or Child Tax Credit).
Paying the full cost would mean choosing between this workshop and essential bills like rent, utilities, or groceries.
You don’t own your own home or a reliable car, or you’re juggling significant debt.
This tier is made possible by others in our community paying a bit more, so everyone can get their hands in the mud and learn these skills!
Option 2: Covering My Way Rate – $395
For folks who can pay the true cost of their spot.
You’re generally able to cover your monthly bills (rent or mortgage, food, transportation) without major stress.
You own or lease a car, or share household expenses with others.
You may rent your home or own modest property, but your financial situation feels stable.
Paying at this level doesn’t strain you, but paying more would.
This is the actual cost of your spot, covering materials, Sage’s teaching, and our time organizing the event.
Option 3: Pay-It-Forward Rate – $495
For folks who want to build community access.
You own your home or have significant savings or investments.
You don’t stress about bills and can afford travel, entertainment, and extras without much sacrifice.
You’re in a position to subsidize someone else’s spot, helping make this skill-sharing accessible to folks with fewer resources.
Choosing this rate helps us keep the workshop open to everyone, while also supporting Jubilee’s ongoing work in land-based healing and mutual aid.
