  • Nora Dennis, M.D., M.S.P.H., Founder & President

    Nora is a physician board-certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. She is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University School of Medicine. She is the founder of Jubilee Healing Farm INC and Jubilee Integrated Wellness, PLLC.

    Nora is passionate about community mental health, and believes that we cannot separate human health and thriving from our culture’s increasingly estranged and tenuous relationship with the natural world. Nora has served in a variety of leadership roles at organizations such as Monarch Behavioral Health, the Durham VA Medical Center and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina. She has been published in a variety of academic journals with a focus on racial equity and access to mental health care.

    Nora is mother of three curious and energetic children, and has the good fortune to be married to her best friend.

  • Howard Allen, Board Member

    Howard Allen is a versatile individual with a diverse background and a passion for the culinary and agricultural world. Born in Jamaica and later relocating to New York City as a teenager, Howard's journey has taken him from the kitchen to the farm. He is a highly skilled and classically trained chef and pastry chef, known for his culinary expertise.

    With a dedication to education, Howard spent a decade as a culinary and pastry arts instructor at Alamance Community College in Graham, North Carolina, where he shared his knowledge and nurtured the talents of aspiring chefs and bakers.

    Currently, Howard is making a significant impact as the co-owner of Faithfull Farms, a regenerative produce farm and farmer training facility. His commitment to sustainable agriculture is evident in his work, which focuses on training new generations of farmers and promoting regenerative farming practices.

    Beyond his professional life, Howard enjoys bouldering, fishing, and indulging in the world of literature. His passion for food, farming, and the great outdoors shines through in his everyday pursuits.

    Howard's notable achievements include being the capstone winner of his college graduating class and winning a professional baking competition, showcasing his exceptional culinary skills and dedication to his craft.

  • Natasha Ashe-Suber, Board Member

    Natasha Ashe-Suber is an experienced global marketing and communications strategist, brand builder and public relations professional. A former print journalist, Natasha possesses more than 20 years of award-winning public relations and communications, marketing, employee engagement and community outreach experience in the nonprofit, public and private sectors in healthcare, financial services, utilities, K-12 and higher education.

    In addition to serving on the board for the Jubliee Healing Farm, Natasha is a member of the Pfeiffer University Board of Trustees, serves on the national Insurance Marketing & Communications Association (IMCA) Board of Directors, leads the Communications Committee for SCOR’s Americas Diversity, Equity and Belonging Committee, chairs the Alumni Advisory Board for the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at N.C. A&T State University, and she is a past member of the Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) Charlotte Chapter and Southeast District Boards. She remains an active member of PRSA’s Charlotte Chapter, serves on its DEI Committee, and contributed to the development of the chapter’s DEI strategy.

    Natasha earned her master’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a bachelor’s degree from N.C. A&T State University. A North Carolina native, she and her husband, Darryl, live in the Lake Norman area.

  • Siobhan Hunter, Board Member

    Siobhan Hunter is a highly accomplished supply chain executive with over 25 years of experience leading supply chains in diverse industries such as telecom, consumer products, health insurance and electronics manufacturing. She is a driven and detail-oriented professional, who has made significant contributions to the field through her leadership, strategic planning, and operational expertise, and was the recipient of a national innovation award for her work forging collaborations within third party risk management.

    As a supply chain leader, Siobhan has a track record of implementing processes, delivering increased efficiency, and improving customer service levels. Her ability to navigate complex international supply chains and build strong relationships with suppliers and customers has enabled her to consistently deliver results and drive adaptive strategies.

    She is a respected, natural leader, who has a talent for building and leading high-performing teams and mentoring young professionals both within the supply chain field and across organizations. Her collaborative style and focus on relationship building has earned her respect and admiration from colleagues and supplier partners globally.

    When she's not driving operational excellence, Siobhan enjoys yoga, quality bourbon, and traveling.

  • Kyle Lumsden, Board Member

    Kyle Lumsden is an undergraduate student at UNC Chapel Hill studying Medical Anthropology and Chemistry from Charlotte, North Carolina. She is on the pre-health track with an interest in psychiatry, public health, and expansion of substance use treatment in North Carolina contexts.

  • Michal Osterweil PhD, Board Member

    Michal is a Teaching Professor in the Curriculum in Global Studies (CGS) at UNC Chapel Hill, where she also earned a Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology, with a certificate in Cultural Studies. Michal's teaching and research seeks to equip students with ways of understanding and denaturalizing many of the core institutions and histories that are presumed to be inevitable and natural-- including the centrality of white supremacy, patriarchy and colonialism to our current visions and practices of “the global.” She serves as Diversity Liaison and chair of DEI for CGS, and co-leads a campus wide initiative on Transformative Pedagogy in Times of Crisis that seeks to create communities of practice for bringing anti-racist, anti-oppression practices into our pedagogy in ways that address and honor the full selves of faculty and students alike. These are based on her recent training and research in mindfulness, trauma-informed leadership and other somatic modalities. She has also curated and led the Carolina Seminar on the Theory and Politics of relationality with Arturo Escobar, since 2011, and the Social Movement Working Group, beginning in 2003. She continues to publish on her research on and with various social movements and social change projects. She has a forthcoming book co-authored with Arturo Escobar and Kriti Sharma, Relationality: Towards an Emergent Politics of life Beyond the Human, expected out in 2024 with Bloomsbury Press, which features her more recent research on Transformative and Healing Justice, Prison Abolition, Sacred Activism as well as other relational approaches to social change.

  • Dick Wilson, MS, MDiv, Board Member

    Dick Wilson learned about farm life and agriculture growing up among the dairy farms of rural Orange County, NC. He is now a retired technology professional who worked for 25 years with large financial institutions and regulators in both the US and China. Before acquiring his MS in Computer Science, Dick earned an undergraduate degree in Linguistics, reflected in his lifelong interest in language learning. In his early days, he also spent 7 years working in biomedical research focused on protein chemistry. Along the way, he obtained a Master of Divinity in cross-cultural ministry and is now a volunteer with PEER Servants, partnering with Zambian nationals for economic empowerment and renewal through microfinance.

  • Kim McNeill, B.A.

    Kim McNeill is the Jubilee Healing Farm project Coordinator. She brings expertise in project management, volunteer management, social media messaging, and nonprofit leadership. She joined Jubilee in 2024 after 20 years serving in large church youth ministry and camp & conference management along with 4 years of experience in coaching.

    Kim's organizational, relational, and coaching skills can help Jubilee reach its goals through detailed planning and consistent internal evaluation. She values building strong relationships within an organization as well as working to build external relationships to help Jubilee broaden its reach and impact. Her coaching skills can help Jubilee leadership clarify goals, discover motivation, and celebrate successful progress.

    Kim graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (B.A. 2003) with degrees in Psychology and Recreation & Leisure Studies with a concentration in Recreational Therapy. Kim continues to cheer on the Tar Heels every chance she gets. Over the last two decades, she has spent many happy hours volunteering for Montreat Conference Center to help make Youth Conferences stronger for thousands of young people each summer.

    Kim has lived in Durham since 2007.
