Plant Sale Intern Needed

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and organized Operations Intern to help coordinate our annual plant sale event. This role is critical in supporting our mission by ensuring a successful and well-organized event that engages the community and generates funds for our programs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate all aspects of the plant sale, including planning, logistics, volunteer management, and day-of-event operations.

- Work closely with the farm team to determine the inventory of plants available for sale, including pricing and presentation.

- Develop and implement a marketing plan to promote the plant sale through various channels, including social media, email newsletters, and local community boards.

- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to assist with the event, including setup, sales, and cleanup.

- Coordinate with vendors and partners for any additional event needs, such as signage, equipment rental, and refreshments.

- Track sales and inventory during the event and provide a post-event report with recommendations for future improvements.

- Assist with other operational tasks and events as needed to support the organization's mission.


Qualifications:

- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team of staff, volunteers, and community members.

- Passion for sustainable agriculture, environmental stewardship, and community engagement.

- Ability to work independently and take initiative, as well as collaborate effectively with a team.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms.

- Ability to work outdoors and lift up to 30 pounds.

- Availability to work on the day of the event and during key preparation times.
